  new arrangement - chairman

  a thought on the emphasis of the importance of the new chairman arrangement at the midweek meeting:.

  it reminds me of a tv-show, where the showmaster introduces tv-clips of some topics.. is it maybe a preparation for meetings with more and more videos ?.

  and all the local brothers are doing is introducing them, creating anticipation for what big skydaddy prepared this week.. i wonder, if most of the meeting times in years to come will be videos anyway.....

  Yes, I think you have it. With the ATM machines now situated in KH lobbies and now widescreen TV's also now installed in KH lobbies they very well may be moving to a more video-based meeting system. More indoctrination to make things more awe-inspiring in a way.

  What a huge disappointment to the rank and file. Many, many comments I've heard throughout the day were to the nature of ''oh wow, I can't wait to hear the news from the AGM, something must have happened'', or ''the GT must be about to be announced, something big is happening''. Only to have some book released with meeting changes. Big, big disappointment to a lot of rank and file today, I'm betting.

  been reading for about 2 and a half years, thought i would take the plunge and sign up.. my circumstances... i live in uk, serving as ms. i am fully awake.

  i can not leave due to family, so just treating the meetings as a bit of a social club.

  i would like to give out more details, but i think you all know the drill.. complete disillusionment and i suppose natural curiosity woke me up.. don't know what else to say right now, just hello, and i hope to get to know some of you guys better.

  WT Society SEC Records : Hedge Funds, Cayman Islands, Financial Losses - Links

  so my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.

  also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.

  Effect on youths of Bethel and construction cuts

  i know quite a few youths (late teens to early twenties) who have the goal of full time service, as bethelites or international construction, so they're doing the required slog of pioneering in order to achieve this goal.

  this is a goal which has been excitedly set out for them the last few years or so at assemblies etc.

  now they see the cuts, surely they are going to be discouraged and disillusioned.

  that was today's topic over a group chat of my cong's young jbots.

  apparently the rumors are circulating everywhere i go, even people from the spanish congs are talking about it.

  what's really sad is that the majority of people are already seeing this as "clear" signs of the end coming.

  You see it happening over and over again. They're just in a trance ''the end is so close, the end just has to be so near'' all wide-eyed like a kid at a theme park. The years, then decades stream on, the same people wind-up being toothless and without a pension wondering where time has gone.

  i am still serving as an elder but just hanging in there.

  i think their quandry is that they don't see me out in the field, but when they need encouragement and decent prayer they come to me.. i just got off the phone to this poor sister who i have only met twice.

  she is not even in my congregation (her sister is).

  The lack of love in the Borg is just priceless. Elders only calling you up for your service hours, but never calling just to have a conversation. Pathetic, sickening.
